Ingredients

  • Hawaiian Sweet Rolls (12-count)
  • Canned Tuna (two 5-ounce cans)
  • Mayonnaise (1 cup)
  • Celery (2 stalks)
  • Red Onion (1/4 cup)
  • Sharp Cheddar Cheese (2 cups)
  • Dijon Mustard (1 tablespoon)
  • Lemon Juice (1 tablespoon)
  • Garlic Powder (1 teaspoon)
  • Unsalted Butter (1/2 cup)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Slice Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally without separating them and place the bottom slab in the baking dish.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine drained tuna, mayonnaise, chopped celery, minced red onion, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and black pepper until creamy.
  4. Spread the tuna salad evenly over the bottom slab of rolls. Top with grated cheddar cheese.
  5. Place the top slab of rolls on the cheese layer.
  6. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt butter and mix in garlic powder and dried parsley. Brush this mixture over the top of the rolls.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for about 15 minutes; then uncover and bake for another 5-10 minutes until golden brown.
