  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt with parsley
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat until about 2 inches deep.
  2. In three separate bowls, combine flour with garlic salt in Bowl 1, pour buttermilk into Bowl 2, and place panko breadcrumbs in Bowl 3.
  3. Coat each chicken piece by first dipping it in the flour mixture, then the buttermilk, and finally the panko breadcrumbs.
  4. For extra crunchiness, double dip the chicken in buttermilk and panko again.
  5. Fry coated chicken pieces in batches for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels before serving warm.
